Regulations

All work is carried out in accordance with the appropriate Building Regulations and IEE Wiring Regulations, BS7671 and carry a 12 months GH Controls* warranty from time of completion of installation.

All electrical work is tested before being put into service to ensure compliance and safe working and the appropriate Certificate issued.

Upon request, work can be independently reassessed, tested and Certified.

Electrical Inspection, Test & Certification

Before being put into service all installations will be inspected and tested to verify, as far as is reasonably practicable, that the requirements of the regulations have been met.

This category includes all alterations or additions to an existing installation above and beyond the scope of Minor works.

Upon completion, an Electrical Installation Certificate will be issued together with a Schedule of Inspection and a Schedule of Test Results.

Minor works are any additions to an existing installation that do not culminate in a new connection being made at your consumer unit e.g. additional socket outlet or lighting switches within an existing circuit.

For each addition a Minor Works Certificate will be issued.

All installations will deteriorate with age; legislation requires that all electrical installations are maintained in a safe condition and therefore must be periodically inspected.

For a domestic property it is recommended that a Periodic Inspection & Test Certificate be issued at the change of occupancy or within a 10 year period.

All testing is completed in accordance with BS7671 :2001, Guidance Note 3. Upon completion, Certification will be issued in accordance with the regulations.
